It’s a story that we would have preferred not to have heard, but like everyone else, it’s a story that we heard nonetheless. OGC Nice supporter and amateur referee, Dylan Bayard was attacked on a pitch in Nice on 10 March. To show its support, the club invited the 22 year old to the training ground on Thursday, the place at which the man who was born in Saint-Martin-du-Var is used to coming to see Les Aiglons train.

Dylan attended a first team training session, spoke with players and staff at the end of the session, before receiving a signed shirt and Cardi’s gloves. This was followed by an offer from Patrick Vieira to come and officiate in a training match in the coming weeks...
