2432: An untiring Tameze

With 2,432 minutes played this season in all competitions, Adrien Tameze is the  Aiglon with the most game time in Patrick Vieira’s first season at the club. Untiring.

You have to go back to the very start of the adventure to find a game in which he didn’t take part.

At Divonne-les-Bains, the man from the North didn’t play in the game against Stade Nyonnais (4-2) at the start of the pre-season training camp, and came on for the last half an hour against Sporting Portugal (0-1), at the end of the week in the Ain.

These first two tests are the only two games in which he hasn’t in midfield at kick-off. A few days later, the former VA man started against Charleroi (2-2). And since then, he hasn’t left Patrick Vieira’s starting eleven. Better still, he has stamped his mark as one of the senior members of the squad, across all of the positions in midfield.

25 outings in L1, two in the Coupe de la Ligue and one in the Coupe de France: the Franco-Cameroonian hasn’t missed one competitive game this season. In all competitions, he is Patrick Vieira’s most used member of the squad, just in front of Dante. The captain, who is suspended for the match at Amiens, has, however, played more minutes in the league this season (2236 minutes against Tameze’s 2162).

Since the start of the season, Tameze has made two assists.
