Nice move up one spot

After Week 22 of Ligue 1 which saw most of the contenders for Europe win, OGC Nice are guaranteed to sit in 7th place in the league.

After winning at Nîmes on Saturday (2-0), the Gym moved up one spot, taking the place of Marseille, who were beaten by Lille the day before (1-2). The Phocéens do, however, have a game in hand over the Aiglons (they will welcome Bordeaux on Tuesday 5 February).

With 34 points on the board, the Aiglons are just one point behind Strasbourg (5th) and Montpellier (6th). Saint-Etienne, who have 36 points after 21 outings, will travel to Nantes next Wednesday.
