Pirlo and Seedorf, two legends visit Nice

On Tuesday, two footballing legends visited the OGC Nice training ground: Andrea Pirlo and Clarence Seedorf.

They both left their mark on the game. Each in their own style. Winner of the Champions League (2003, 2007) and the World Cup (2006), Andrea Pirlo was the metronome of the midfields of AC Milan, Juventus and Italian national side (116 caps) in the noughties, before finishing his career... in New York, under the watchful eye of a certain Patrick Vieira. Retired from the pitch since 2017, the Italian jewel was accompanied by another legend of the game, three-times winner of the Champions League (with Ajax, Real Madrid and AC Milan) and a pillar of the Dutch national side (86 caps): Clarence Seedorf. A legend who is now in charge of the Cameroon national side.

Travelling to Nice “to see Patrick” and “visit the Gym’s facilities”, the two men were given the full tour. Stayed to watch training on the pitch, posed for a series of photos, and left the training ground having put a smile on the faces of the people they had met.

And taking away a couple of souvenirs in their suitcases...
