Heroic against Lyon during the fourth game of the season (0-1 victory), Walter Benitez is your first Aiglon of the Month this season. 

The award was open to each of the players who had been voted Aiglon of the Match during the month of August, meaning that Ignatius Ganago (Caen, 1-1), Youcef Atal (Reims, 0-1) and Allan Saint-Maximin (Dijon, 0-4) were also in the running.  

A fortieth appearance rewarded

The Argentinian wall, who was playing his 40th game for the Niçois at the Groupama Stadium (32 Ligue 1 matches, 5 Europa League, 2 Coupe de la Ligue and 1 Coupe de France), picked up the majority of your votes (52%).

This becomes the 25 year old keeper’s  second Aiglon of the Month trophy, after winning in November 2017 and February 2018.
