Vieira: "Remain positive"

After the defeat against Saint-Etienne (3-0), Patrick Vieira, the Aiglons’ coach, gave his view of the match and looked forward at what’s to come.

Coach what did you make of the game this evening?
It was a tricky match, especially in the first half. We made individual errors and we were punished for them. There are also positives to take, but there is still a lot of work to do. It’s the final game of pre-season, it’s always good to win. Unfortunately, we didn’t do it, but we will get back to work on Tuesday to correct what didn’t work.

Now, the Gym enters the final week of pre-season...
This match won’t change the way we have worked in recent weeks. The morale was really good, I am happy with the team in terms of concentration, the players really gave their best. What we need to correct quickly are these little errors that have cost us dearly.

What is the motto for this week?
There is still work to do and we still have a week to improve. We will analyse the match and will try to improve two or three things, especially on the counter, where we were a little bit too open. We need to continue to be positive and to work, because Reims will be a completely different match. We will come up against a very well organised side, it will be down to us to find their weak link and to find a way to score.
