Pre-season

Friendly against Brighton

After returning to the training ground on Monday morning, Patrick Vieira’s squad has now been split into two groups on. Whilst most of those players that started against Torino trained this morning, the other part of the contingent will face English side Brighton in a friendly this afternoon.

An interesting addition to the Aiglons’ initial pre-season schedule, which will take place at the OGC Nice training complex at 5pm. And more specifically on the hybrid pitch in order to meet the demands of the British club.

Behind closed doors

This game will take place behind closed doors, with the sporting complex unable to welcome significant crowds for the moment, due to questions of capacity, comfort and security. The club’s media channels will ensure that images of the encounter are published this evening.

Brighton in short

After promotion at the end of the 2016/2017 season, Brighton ensured safety in the Premier League by finishing in 15th place last season. Managed by Chris Hughton, the Seagulls, whose squad includes Frenchman Anthony Knockaert, have played 4 friendlies this summer. They have picked up three draws (1-1 against Saint-Gall, Charlton and Birmingham) and one defeat (1-2 against Wimbledon).

In the same way as the Aiglons, the English side will kick off their league campaign on 11 August, with a trip to Watford.
