The Aiglons’ pre-season programme is taking shape. On Wednesday, two more friendlies were officially confirmed: the Gym will face Sporting Lisbon (14 July in Nyon) and Charleroi (on 21 July in Belgium).

With the return to training fixed for Monday 2 July, the Red and Black delegation will head to Divonne-les-Bains after a huge week of work at home. Like last summer, the trip will begin with an initial friendly (against Stade Nyonnais) and will come to a close against a second team staying in the area. A match against quality opposition: Sporting Lisbon (3rd in the Portuguese top flight), the side the Niçois faced in summer 2016 in Faro (0-0), just before the start of L1.

After this intense week of preparation, Patrick Vieira’s squad will return to the capital of the Côte d’Azur to continue the hard work. And at the end of another busy week, they will face Charleroi, member of the Belgian top flight, in Charleroi (kick-off at 6pm).

The next set of friendlies will be announced in due course.
