Bauthéac: "A guy stole my identity!”

The guest of honour for the final home Gane of the season against Caen, former Aiglon Eric Bauthéac spoke about his Australian adventure with OGCNice.Mag. An adventure that could have been denied from the FC Brisbane Roar player, after he suffered from an incredible case of identity fraud: “I arrived in Australia as an unknown player. In Europe, they only know the big players: Messi, Ronaldo, Giroud, or even Lacazette recently. And of course Balotelli because he is a character. I started the season late because I was the victim of identity fraud: a guy turned up claiming to be Eric Bauthéac in 2010 in Australia. It’s crazy! Despite the support of my club, I had to wait for a month and a half for my visa. As for the fake Eric Bauthéac, he is still missing... If he wants to come and have a drink at my place, he would be more than welcome (laughs).”

Before Nice - Caen, Eric Bauthéac will be...

At 7pm in the Café des Aiglons to meet with Nice supporters
At 8.45pm on the pitch of the Allianz Riviera to receive his former Aiglon trophy.

... And in OGCNice.Mag

His adventure in Australia, his 3 seasons with the Gym, the evolution of the club... Eric Bauthéac answered questions from OGCNICE.mag.
Find his interview in you matchday programme on Saturday. Complimentary copies will be distributed at the Café des Aiglons and in all kiosks.
