He has been one of the bright spots of a challenging 2025–26 season. After joining from the Swedish club Norrköping over the summer, the center back quickly established himself as a key part of the red-and-black defense.

To his credit: 43 matches in all competitions (1 goal). His consistent performance earned him a spot on the Ghana national team, for which he made his debut on October 12, 2025, against the Comoros.

A standout performer right through a nail-biting second-leg playoff against Saint-Étienne (which ended in a 4-1 victory), helping the Gym secure its place in Ligue 1, Kojo was selected by Carlos Queiroz to play in the World Cup with the “Black Stars.”
