Biography

Born in São Vicente, Robson Bambu — or Robson Alves de Barros to give his full name — plays in central defence.
Rangy (1.86m), pacy, and imposing in challenges, he came through the Santos FC youth academy before making his first team debut in the 2018 Copa Libertadores.
In 2019, the Brazil U21 defender joined Athletico Paranaense, but after just 21 games, he joined OGC Nice in the summer of 2020, becoming the club's 13th Brazilian recruit.
After making 23 appearances (including six in European competition) with OGC Nice since his arrival in summer 2020, Robson Bambu returns to Brazil (Corinthians) on a year-long loan.
On 20 January 2022, he was loaned out to Corinthians for one year, with an option to buy. Back in his homeland, he played 12 games before being loaned out again to Vasco de Gama at the start of 2023. After arriving in January, he played 10 matches, making seven starts between April and May.
