On July 4, 2024, Tanguy Ndombele became Nice's first summer signing. A French international (7 caps), the talented midfielder joined Franck Haise's squad in a bid to get back to playing football, after mixed experiences with Napoli and Galatasaray.

He quickly succeeded in doing so, following a good preparatory period. During the first half of the season, he inspired, played (25 games) and scored (2 goals, including an important one against Corte). Unfortunately, he was hampered by injuries from February onwards. This was also the case during the 2025–26 season, when he made only 13 appearances.
