Biography
Cédric Varrault's career began at Le Gym and saw him wear four shirts, none more than the Red and Black, 164 times in Ligue 1.
Making his first appearance in 1999-2000, he joined the team in earnest the following season, then played a full part in OGC Nice's return to the top flight in 2002. A League Cup finalist in 2006, Varrault stayed with Nice until 2007, when he joined ASSE. After three seasons with Les Verts, a Greek adventure with Panionios and seven years between Ligue 2 and Ligue 1 with Dijon, the former defender returned to his first club in the summer of 2019. As assistant to Le Gym's reserve team, he then joined Johann Louvel's staff with the U19s, before taking charge of the U17s.
In the summer of 2025, Cédric returned to the pro squad, joining Franck Haise's staff as assistant coach.
