Lausanne 3-1 Nice

The first test in 5 points

On Friday, Le Gym lost 3-1 to Lausanne in their first warm-up match of the 2023 pre-season. Here's a look back at the match in 5 points.

HOW MANY PLAYERS WERE USED?

Francesco Farioli used 22 players for his first game on the bench. Only Bartosz Zelazowski and Yannis Nahounou took part in the trip without coming on.

IN WHAT SYSTEM?

Les Aiglons played in a 4-3-3 system throughout the match.

WERE ANY NEW PLAYERS USED?

Just one: Issiaga Camara. The young Guinean midfielder (18), who signed his first contract with Le Gym in June, came on as a right-sided attacking midfielder in place of Gaëtan Laborde for the final half-hour.

Out on loan last season, Calvin Stengs, Alexis Claude-Maurice and Evann Guessand all played 45 minutes.

Melvin Bard, Alexis Beka Beka and Gaëtan Laborde were the only players to play an hour.

WHAT KIT DID THE AIGLONS PLAY IN?

In their home kit: red and black shirt, white shorts and white socks. We'll have to wait until the next match to see them in their away kit. The shirts are available from the club's online shop or from the Place Masséna shop.

WHAT'S NEXT?

The Aiglons fly to Catalonia on Monday for a training camp. The training camp will culminate with the second warm-up game against Montpellier on Saturday at 11am. The match will once again be broadcast on the club's media channels.
