Patrick Vieira gave an update on his squad at his pre-match press conference ahead of the visit of Rennes (kick-off on Friday at 7pm).

The Nice coach explained that Youcef Atal, who has been unavailable since the first game of the season, “returned to training with the squad this morning (Wednesday). We will see if he is in the squad or not.” The coach then went on to discuss those who have been away with their respective national sides. Although Bassem Srarfi has returned to Nice “without any issues”, there are some doubts about other international players. Starting with Mario Balotelli. “He got back late last night (Tuesday), he wasn’t able to train with us today and he stayed in the medical rooms with the doctor and physios. He felt something in his adductors, we have a couple of days to see how it evolves. We will know more tomorrow, in the same way as with Olivier Boscagli’s ankle.”
