Matchday 36

Everything will come down to Sunday

Although matchday 36 of Ligue 1 will get underway on Friday, the sides in contention for 5th and 6th place will be in action on Sunday.

With the Gym on the road for a second consecutive match, one week after the draw with Strasbourg (1-1), the two sides ahead of them in the league will be playing at home.

At 3pm, the Stéphanois will open the ball. Unbeaten in 13 games (8 wins, 5 draws), and in fifth place since last weekend, Jean-Louis Gasset’s side will host Bordeaux, who are also still in the race (9th, 46 points).

At 5pm, Rennes, Guingamp, Montpellier and Nantes will play. In sixth place, the Bretons of SRFC will look to win back to back games at Roazhon Park against Strasbourg. Their neighbours of Guingamp (11th, 46 points) will travel to Dijon, whilst the Canaris and the Héraultais, who also have 46 points, will lock horns at the Beaujoire.

Matchday 36 will come to an end with a feisty Mediterranean derby, between Marseille and Nice at the Vélodrome (at 9.05pm).
