What impression away from home?

The Aiglons now have six league games left to secure a European place. Four of those will take place away from home. What impression have the Gym left away from home  since the start of the league? The answer in figures.

At the Stade Raymond-Kopa on Friday (8.45pm), the Azuréens will start a series of four away games, broken up by visits from Montpellier (Week 34) and Caen (Week 37).

After Angers, Strasbourg (Week 35) will be the next stop, before two huge games to end the cycle: Marseille (Week 36) and Lyon (Week 38).

Since the start of the season, the Niçois have the 8th best record away from home and have taken 19 of a possible 46 points (5 wins, 4 draws, 6 defeats).

On average, they have taken 1.27 points per match. A slightly better record than Saint-Etienne (9th best away record, 1.13 pt/match) and Nantes (7th best record, 1.24 pt/ match) but just behind Montpellier (6th best record, 1.44 pt/match) and Rennes (5th best record, 1.52 pt/match), the Gym's direct competitors.

Apart from Saint-Etienne, the three other sides have been more effective away from home than at home. Two of them will play most of their games in the hunt for Europe at home (Rennes and Nantes will play 4 of their 6 final games at home).

Montpellier and the Verts have an equal split between home and away games (3 and 3).
