Plenty of fun at the Château

On Wednesday, the Aiglons took on the 'pichouns' on the hill of the Château. In a picture postcard  setting, but under a threatening sky, Arnaud Souquet, Papy Mendy and Mickaël Le Bihan* took to the field with their young fans, in front of some happy parents...

After the first edition at the Arènes de Cimiez, the Nice players continued "their delocalised games" in emblematic locations in the Comté. The settings change, the faces do too, but one constant remains: the joy of the time spent together. "Of course we like to participate in this kind of event. We see that the youngsters enjoy themselves, so we take pleasure from it too", explained Arnaud Souquet, whose clothes were covered in sand.

Opposite the sea, the full-back was at the centre of the Red and Black trio. He bossed, defended - at times pushing the rules to the limit - and managed the game. Papy Mendy kept the ball and looked for the little bridge, but "the young version". Mika Le Bihan played in and around the goal and formed a perfect partnership with "a little Mario" who was in excellent form.

"It's amazing"

"It's amazing to be able to play with the people we see on TV every weekend" delighted 'little' Théo with his red and black shirt on his back. "When you see your child like that, what can you say, apart from thank you?", calmly explained one mother. For over an hour, the communion was shared through collective effort. In turns, each youngster took to the field, went into battle with the players, laughed and gave their all.

The event came to an end with a signing session, so that all those participating could have a physical souvenir of the afternoon.
