Involved in everything good on Sunday at the Stade de l'Aube, Alassane Plea was there on two occasions to put the ball in the back of the net. In scoring his 11th and 12th goals of the season in L1, the forward surpassed his best total for a season, as well as securing a vital win for his side in their battle for Europe (0-2). 

"Plea in full flight!" (Nice-Matin), "Plea so nice" (L'Equipe). After being honoured this week for his charity work, Alassane Plea was once again in the headlines. Marked 8 out of 10 by the two daily newspapers, the forward "will have to settle for a brace, even though he had scored four goals during Le Gym's last trip" joked L'Equipe.

Between his two goals, "Lasso" was also denied two assists, Seri missed his opportunity in front of an open goal (23'), then the assistant referee raised his flag - incorrectly - as Balotelli converted his gem (31').

"I feel very comfortable on the pitch" 

The forward who came through the ranks at OL was omnipresent on ESTAC's pitch (7 shots, 5 on target), confirming his current form. The most used player by Lucien Favre in L1 this season (2513 minutes of game time), he delighted in his current form after the game: "I feel good and physically, I am good. I have had two injuries in the last two seasons, and it's hard to come back. I worked hard and I feel very comfortable on the pitch. My teammates put me into the best postions, and I have luck on my side. I hope to continue like this, to help the side go and get that 5th place finish." 

In the lead in the race to be the top scorer of this millennia - he overtook Mario Balotelli with 40 goals, versus 39 for his strike partner - the number 14 smashed the election for Aiglon of the Match, with 84% of your votes. He beat his captain Dante (8%) and Maxime Le Marchand and Pierre Lees-Melou (4%) to the title.
