The low down on the last international matches

Aside from Tunisia's victory at the Allianz Riviera, several other international fixtures took place on Tuesday 27 March. We take a look at the last outings of the Aiglons this international break.

Ivory Coast 

For the second friendly of the break, the Elephants did the necessary against Moldova. After a  draw with Togo last weekend (2-2), Mika Seri (who started the game and came off just after the hour mark) and his teammates won the game (2-1) thanks to goals from Assalé and Pépé.

 

France U19s

Thanks to the win over Spain (4-2), the France U19s qualified for the finals of Euro 2018, which will take place between 16 and 29 July in Finland. Solid, Malang Sarr played the whole game. Driven by Bernard Diomède, the Bleuets conceded the opening goal from a penalty at the start of the second half, equalised through a Spanish own goal, made the difference thanks to two Lyonnais (Myziane Maolida et Amine Gouiri), and secured their victory thanks to the man from Crotone, Moussa Diaby. Jordi Mboula had reduced the French lead in the meantime.

France U17s

The France U17s had less success in their qualification campaign. For their final outing in the Elite Round, The teammates of Evan Guessand (came on in the 72nd minute on Tuesday evening) and Lamine Diaby-Fadiga (absent due to an ankle injury) couldn't secure anything better than a draw against Austria (0-0). The result: they will not take part in the Euros which will take place in England from 4 until 20 May.

France / Portugal U16s

Finally, young midfielder Soudeysse Kari didn't participate in the French U16s defeat against Portugal (1-3), in the first game of the Montaigu Tournament. For the Portuguese side, another Aiglon, however, did come on: Pedro Brazao.

The young attacking midfielder for the U17 national side was brought on in the 77th minute.
