The figures before the sprint

Sunday 1 April at Troyes, Le Gym will begin the final sprint of the season. Ahead of these 8 finals, OGCNice.com took a look at the figures so far from this 2017-18 season.

Game time: Plea overtakes Lees-Melou

Suspended on two occasions, Pierre Lees-Melou (2349') has seen Alassane Plea become Lucien Favre's most used player. Held back by injuries during the last two seasons, the former OL man is only 29 minutes away from beating his record, which he set in his first season with Le Gym (2452 minutes in 2014-15). The 3rd most used Aiglon is no other than the captain Dante (2199').

The strikers: Two men for one title

After an exceptional season (14 goals in L1), Mario Balotelli has become the top scorer for Nice in this century. A "title" that is also in the grasps of... Alassane Plea. Thanks to his four goals against Guingamp (2-5), "Lasso" built up his total in the league (10 in 2017-18) and is only one goal away from Super Mario's record (39 goals in all competitions). Behind the two strikers is a midfielder: Pierre Lees-Melou (4 goals).

Assists: Saint-Maximin and Lees-Melou go to town

With 6 assists each, Allan Saint-Maximin and Pierre Lees-Melou share the lead. In Ligue 1, only five players have done better that the two Aiglons (Neymar, Thauvin, Payet, Mbappe and Dossevi). It's Mika Seri who completes the podium. The Ivorian midfielder proves his consistency with the last pass with his 4 assists in the league.
