Nice - Paris

Record audience in China

Scheduled for Sunday 18 March at 1pm, in order to show L1 at its best to the Chinese people, the fixture between Nice – Paris (1-2) "has beaten all audience records" in China.

According to the figures received by the LFP, this L1 matchday 30 clash, broadcast live on two OTT platforms (Tencent and PPTV) and relayed (live or with a slight delay) by four regional channels (Beijing TV, Guangzhou TV, Shanghaï TV and Guangdong TV), was watched live by 1.6 million people in China. Meaning "an audience 16 times above the average for a Ligue 1 Conforama game". Furthermore, the fans of the two sides participated in a special party taking place at Canton, with a Gym or PSG shirt on their backs. This spectacle was also broadcast live on Guanzhou TV... and was followed by 200,000 viewers!

It's worth noting that in France, the fixture which was co-broadcast by Canal + and beIN SPORTS, attracted 1.18 million viewers. That means that OGC Nice put in a strong showing - on and off the pitch - in front of 2.8 million viewers. A figure that doesn't include the other regions of the world that followed the event.
