Mouez Hassen has confirmed to us that he has given his agreement to play for the Tunisian national side. Born in Fréjus, the goalkeeper who will soon be 23, has dual nationality and has chosen the shirt of the Eagles of Carthage with the A team, after having played in all of the French youth sides.

Coming through the Gym's academy and appearing 49 times in L1 with the red and black shirt, he was a winner of the Coupe Gambardella in 2012 and is currently plying his trade with Châteauroux (6th in L2), where he has been loaned until the end of the season. He has played 19 L2 games there, each as a starter.

As a reminder, Tunisia will participate at the next World Cup which will take place this summer in Russia. The side managed by Nabil Maâloul – to which another Niçois, Bassem Srarfi, was called up at the end of 2017 - have been drawn in Group G where they will face Belgium, Panama and England.
