Return to training

(Good) news from Le Bihan

During his press conference, at the heart of his squad update, Lucien Favre provided news on Mickaël Le Bihan. A long-term injury (his last appearance dates back to 7 May 2017), the Gym’s forward has taken to the field once more with his teammates this week. To the delight of his manager.

It’s a good thing for us, in the medium term, but especially for him. He trained on Monday, Tuesday, Wesnesday and today, he needed to slow down a bit. It’s a huge return in the medium term, but we will need to be very patient with him too, and to be careful.”

A progressive return with the reserves

The coach has, however, fixed a plan for the former Le Havre striker. “He will return progressively with the reserves. Not starting the game, but 20 minutes, then 40, etc. It will take its time and then, we hope to reintegrate him into the first team as soon as possible. He is coming back from a long way away, and I hope that now there will be no more problems, because he is a very good player…

A player who the Swiss coach hopes to count upon. “He is intelligent in the game, and my priority, is intelligence. In his movement, his runs, he is very adroit, very precise.”

It should be noted that Le Bihan will regain the number 10, which was his before Wesley Sneijder’s arrival, following the Dutch forward’s departure this winter.
