OGC Nice and Troyes finalised, on Thursday, their agreement for the loan (with an option to buy) of Rémi Walter for the second half of the 2017/18 season.

The 22 year old midfielder is heading to ESTAC, who currently sit in 17th place in L1. Coming through the academy at Nancy, he made 71 appearances in L2 there. The former youth international then signed for the Gym in winter 2016. Since then, he has notched up 42 Ligue 1 appearances and 9 in Europe.

Able to play in any position across the midfield (holding, box-to-box, or on the wing), Walter now prepares for a new challenge in the ranks of a promoted side fighting for top-flight survival.

He will play there under the orders of Jean-Louis Garcia, and will find an old Gym face there: in Chaouki Ben Saada.
