Gautier Lloris will play his football with GFC Ajaccio for the second half of the 2017/18 season. The Gym’s central defender has been loaned (without an option to buy) to the Corsican club in a deal that was signed on Thursday.

A pure product of the Nice Academy, the young centre back who is just 22 years old, and is described as an “excellent player, very intelligent on the pitch, on a defensive level and in his anticipation” by Lucien Favre, will now head to “le Gaz’” with the aim of picking up game time in order to continue with his progression.

Like Olivier Boscagli before him, Gautier, has come through every section of the Nice Academy, has appeared in L1 on two occasions, and has extended his contract with the Red and Blacks before heading off to the Ile de Beauté. 

In Corsica, he will play under the orders of the experienced Albert Cartier, at the heart of a side who are currently sitting in 14th place in L2.
