With a few hours to go before the closing of the summer transfer window, OGC Nice have secured the signature of left-back Racine Coly, signing from Brescia.

On the lookout for a specialist in this position, the Gym focussed their attentions on the Brescia left-back, convinced by his potential and his margin for improvement. Young (21 years old), athletic (1.85m), powerful, the left footed defender left his mark on Serie B, where he picked up around 100 apps in three and a half seasons. Born in Dakar in 1995, Coly joins on the back of a full season, with 36 outings, in which he scored 5 goals and picked up 3 assists in a side that finished 15th in the second division of Italian football.

Before heading to Europe and making his name in the “calcio”, he came through the ranks of Racing Club de Dakar. 

His progress will now take place by the Mediterranean and with the Gym, with whom he will discover Ligue 1 and the Europa League.
