Good luck Valentin!

Valentin Eysseric, who arrived in summer 2012, has left OGC Nice. The attacking midfielder is going to join Fiorentina, eighth in Serie A last season. The two clubs reached an agreement on Wednesday.

He has been through eveything in a red-and-black shirt: a dream first season under Claude Puel where he contributed to a fourth-placed finish; two difficult seasons (2013/14, 2014/15) and a scrap for top-flight survival; a breath of fresh air on loan at Saint-Etienne (2015/16); and a return to favour under Lucien Favre (2016/17).

In spite of La Viola's interest in recent weeks, the Aix native, who came through Monaco's youth academy, did not take things lightly this summer. True to his word, he gave his all to help the Aiglons past Ajax with a fantastic performance in Amsterdam, capping a long adventure in magnificent style (120 league games, 14 goals, 13 assists).

Ready to take on a new challenge at 25 years old, he will now discover a new country and culture at a legendary club.

OGC Nice wishes him a lot of success. Good luck Val'!
