L. Favre: “Encouraging”

Welcomed “like a rock star” in Bavaria, where he used to take Borussia M'Gladbach for their pre-season trip when he was manager there,  Lucien Favre gave a nuanced analysis of the Gym’s victory over the Poulains (2-1).

“A part of the first-half was good, explained the Aiglons’ coach. We had 2-3 opportunities to score, notably from shots. Gladbach didn’t have too many chances in the first period but were better for 30 minutes in the second. With the subs, we were better, especially offensively. Up top, there wasn’t enough, and the players that came on brought a lot. Plea and Marcel scored, I am happy for them. It’s encouraging and it makes me happy. It is good to see that we could turn a game around today, with two nice goals at the heart of it. It is very encouraging and very positive for the team.”
