A pre-season tour, what does it involve?

A week far from the capital of the Côte d’Azur logistically requires a well-oiled machine. So that the players can concentrate solely on the ball and their efforts, everything from waking up to going to bed, is orchestrated in huge detail, with precision and efficiency. Some of the numbers coming out of the shadows allow us to shed light on the Aiglons’ week. So a pre-season trip, what does it involve?

The numbers from the trip

  • A removal lorry of 30m3 left Nice with all of the equipment that Nice will use during the trip, and notably their weight equipment.
  • A ‘support’ vehicle which, in parallel with the rest of the delegation, headed to the Ain filled with material (cups, cones...).
  • A private vehicle in Switzerland, to ensure the journeys on site, especially between Divonne and Geneva airport.
  • 2 stewards, to guarantee that the squad receives the same attention as it would if it was back in Nice, at home, in what is an extremely full week.
  • 3 kits per day, per player and for each member of staff.
  • 1500 bottles of water in place for all of the Nice delegation in Domaine de Divonne, their base during their week alongside Lac Léman.
  • 75kg of pasta and 50kg of chicken for the week.
