On Friday, the Gym will face le Servette Genève in their second friendly of pre-season (kick-off 7pm).

One year on, the surroundings haven’t changed. Divonne, base camp for the Aiglons’ trip, will welcome a second consecutive Nice-Servette. In the same way as last season, the class of 17/18 will face the Grenat in the middle of summer, in between the mountains. A Grenat who come off the back of a good season in the Challenge League (2^nd division in Switzerland), finishing in 3rd place.

A historic club with a plethora of trophies in the cabinet (17 times champion in Switzerland), Le Servette are still chasing promotion into the top-flight of Swiss football, which they dropped out of in 2013. More advanced in their preparation than in the previous encounter, the Genevois are, this time at the same stage as the Aiglons.

Returning to work on 20 June, Meho Kodro’s side have already played in one friendly, which they lost against FC Sion (0-1), member of the Swiss 1^st Division.

The Niçois will therefore face a solid opposition, with the desire to round off a good week’s work with a win.
