Pre-season

Plea, Eysseric, Le Bihan, Cyprien: the coach gives an update

15 days after pre-season began and the day before the departure to Divonne, Lucien Favre has given an update on Alassane Plea, Valentin Eysseric,  Mickaël Le Bihan and Wylan Cyprien, all injured at the end of last season.

“We are still missing quite a few players, there are some injured players who are still not 100%, like Le Bihan, Plea”, explained the Swiss coach, before delivering encouraging news on the latter. “Alassane has had a ‘pre-pre-season’ (sic). So logically, he is ready physically. To re-begin with the team, he is ready. Now, “there is everything else”. He hasn’t played since 12 February against Rennes and won’t play tomorrow. Eysseric, who came back today (Friday) with the team, won’t play either.”

Whilst at the same time detailing that Mika Le Bihan should re-join the squad following the trip, the coach also spoke about Wylan Cyprien. After injuring his anterior cruciate ligament on 10 March, he “will be out until February-March.”
