For the official photo for season 2016-2017, the directors, staff and players assembled on the Bellanda tower with the Promenade des Anglais in the background - a reminder that in joy or in pain, Le Gym will always remain united with the people of Nice.

The sky is clear. The sea is calm. The autumn morning on which the photo was taken contrasts with the horror that shook the world's most beautiful avenue just a few months ago. In a year unlike others, the background of the official photo could only be La Prom'. La Prom' where 86 people perished on 14 July, 2016. 86 people whose names, arranged in the shape of a heart, take their place on the top left of a photo in which Lucien Favre, Mario Balotelli, Dante and Younes Belhanda (among others) figure for the first time.

Nothing is forgotten; nothing is erased. But life must continue, and OGC Nice, a force for unity and community, will use all the means at its disposal to make proud the city it represents.
